sikh and ye shall tip well…

There are times of trouble for the uninitiated, the unsuspecting and disconnected—like waitstaff at The Empire Ale House— when they are exposed to the late evening oiled and bent ramblings of minor collectives whose context of content have been formulated recently elsewhere with momentums still rolling southward down festive lit sidewalks, overlapping the immediate realities of people who have no other choice but to grin and bear their presence. My, the patience that must be required.

And why should they be expected to care about the additional need for ancient pipe flushing, and crab cake clump ale, and places to be scratched with cheap Chinese bamboo utensils, and shower caps for Muslim hamsters—knowingly and in a politically correct way— including the potentials for Sikh, Jewish, Shiite, or any other hamster originating from nomadic desert regions. I believe there was even reference of retaliations concerning The Shining Light for purposely dissing the Peruvian guinea pig, and yet with intentions perceived admirable. After all, the primary and paid purpose of these folk of platter balancing fame is to serve for the moment the needs of the hungry and thirsty who maniacally change minds concerning size and quantity, manipulating the math for maximum minimums—advantage to the returners at the expense of tired feet and additional glassware.

And when it is all said and done, when the last clam is plucked, the last slice of  toasted garlic bread dipped into the lemon grass and questionably fennel infested gravy, the last crinkly fry munched, and there is no bacon to be found—when the last sip of crab cake free bitter ale has cleansed the palate for the evening, then and only then is a final sigh felt throughout the cosmos—when the waitress is set free of the confines of reimbursement and returns to her nest, exhausted and contemplating reasons for all things beyond her control.

I’m sure this will will happen again as continuums are like that. To uncontrollably know us is to inevitably love us.
